This was confirmed by Lukashenka, who let slip about the implementation of some agreements.

The sanctions imposed against Russia * seriously undermined the defense industry of the aggressor country, so the Kremlin, in order to continue the war with Ukraine and strengthen its army, set its sights on Belarusian factories.

This is stated in the report of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

On Friday, February 17, the self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko met with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and confirmed that Russia had already begun the process of “absorption”, talking about the implementation of some agreements between the countries. In particular, according to him, the Belarusian industry is ready to start production of the Su-25 for the Russian military.

Moreover, the Minsk Automobile Plant has begun producing components for the Russian KAMAZ and is ready to help the occupiers in the production of electronic components to replace the lost Western imports.

ISW analysts believe that Russia will actively use the Belarusian industry to produce equipment needed at the front, and despite Lukashenka’s statements, the Kremlin may seize the country’s factories to re-equip them for its own needs. Putin needs all this to restore his military resources and continue the war on the territory of Ukraine.

Cursor wrote earlier that the army of the Russian Federation may conduct another series of missile attacks on civilian targets in Ukraine, because real military success “continues to elude” it.

We also wrote that the military-industrial base of the Russian Federation cannot overcome the lack of ammunition. Therefore, it will be extremely problematic for Russia to support offensive operations in eastern Ukraine in 2023.

Recall that the Russian Federation continues to suffer huge losses in the war in Ukraine, but does not abandon new attempts to seize territories. There is an assumption that the invaders will again open the front from Belarus and try to capture Kiev. But ISW believes that their success will be extremely unlikely.
