Following the meeting of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the city of Turkmenbashi, a number of cooperation agreements were signed, the Azerbaijani leader’s website reports.

The parties adopted a joint declaration of the first summit meeting of the heads of Azerbaijan, Turkey and Turkmenistan.

In addition, an intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation was signed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Atdaev, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Trade of Turkey Mehmet Mus.

Also, the “Intergovernmental Framework Program for Cooperation in Science, Education and Culture for 2023-2025” was signed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nurmukhammed Amannepesov, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

At the same time, the “Intergovernmental Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a Joint Consultative Commission on Customs Cooperation” was signed by Chairman of the State Customs Committee of Turkmenistan Maksat Khudaiguliyev, Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Jeyhun Bayramov and Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Mehmet Mus.

The parties also adopted an “Interdepartmental Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of Energy Cooperation”. The document was signed by Batyr Amanov, Chairman of the Turkmengas State Concern, Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of Azerbaijan, and Fatih Donmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey.

The “Interdepartmental Memorandum of Understanding on the development of cooperation in the field of transport” was signed by the Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammadkhan Chakiyev, the Minister of Transport and Digital Development of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey Adil Garaysmailoglu.
